Captain's Focus

Morning started out with lots of life on the end of the out going tide....Not for the faint of heart fishing as we had an East wind with the last of that tide. Nasty roll but we did catch some fish, Shorts, a keeper and a couple bonus fish.

Thought for sure with the change it would be lights out fishing today but that didn't happen. Read them, saw them and once again it was tough to catch'em. Three of us who sailed today for stripers, split up and went into search mode...Down the Beach had the same results, out East, same results, up to the North same bite no matter where we went or how hard we worked. A couple of Big Blues but no amount of them in the area....with all the bait around it's hard to believe!

Hopefully, with the wind back into the west tomorrow it will turn the bite back on......Trust me, If I wasn't reading and seeing the life everyday, this boat would already be in Tottenville and I'd be on the beach with a cocktail! The Fat lady hasn't sung yet...Back at it tomorrow!!!
