Atlantic Highlands blackfishing December 24

Yesterdays weather kept us at the dock but we made our 3/4 day trip for blackfish today. The forecast for today did not look good and we thought the ocean was not going to be nice but we were wrong. There was not much wind and the ocean was calm. We only made two drops. We only caught a few shorts on the first one. On the second spot we picked at the shorts and caught a few keeper blackfish. We were going to move but there was just enough action to stay with. We had people had the patience to stay with the pick. By the end of the day we ended up with a better catch of keepers then we had the past few trips. We had one limit and some had from one the four keeper blackfish while a few only caught shorts. Take a look at the gallery and see some of the keepers from today. We will not be fishing tomorrow (CHRISTMAS) but Tuesday we will be back on schedule fishing everyday for blackfish leaving at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3 pm. They are forecasting some cold temperatures but we will be fishing everyday. Looking forward to seeing everyone and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS.
