Captain's Focus

We had a nice welcomed surprise first thing in the morning. The stripers were up on top hitting bunker. We made some drifts with Shads, diamond jigs and bunker chunks and had a blast with all nice keepers. When that ended we went to the bait and caught some more. Everyone went home with a Striper dinner. If you haven't been out yet this year make sure you check your line on the reel. If its old or frayed get rid of it and put new line on.I see to many people break fish off with line that is not up to par. I recommend ANDE pink 20 to 30 lb test. Braid is not needed or recommended. Also check your drags do not fish with a light drag, when you go to set the hook you want the hook to penetrate. I hope we can do the same thing tomorrow. Fishing and weather looks good so I will see you soon.
