AUGUST 15, 2018 UPDATE

CHARTERED FRIDAY 8/17 8 AM TRIP    OPEN ON 1:30 PM TRIP

1/2 DAY PORGY & SEA BASS MONDAYS & TUESDAYS    1/2 DAY FLUKE WED-SUN.

Last week's Fluke trips saw a lot of action on most trips, but keepers were hard to come by. A lot of fish at 16-17 inches that had to be released, but "it is what it is". Monday's porgy and sea bass trip was back on target as the good group of anglers who ventured out in the rain were rewarded with plenty of fish, mostly porgies, a few triggers and some nice sea bass. At the dock in the afternoon as there was a lack of angler participation and the afternoon was much drier than the morning. Tuesday morning saw an all out mad dog bite on the porgies with most anglers catching as many as they wanted. Again a couple of trigger fish and a few nice sea bass. The afternoon trip was not as good as the morning, but it still was a success. Anglers who stuck it out were rewarded, all aboard had a blast and everyone went home with a nice bag of fillets. This morning, Wed, we headed out to a rolly bay for our Fluke trip, as soon as we got around the Hook into the Ocean, we were greeted by flat calm seas. Anglers enjoyed constant action with skates, sharks, sea robins and some really nice keeper fluke. Lou took the pool with a nice 4.5 lb fluke. Light crowd this afternoon and hoping to repeat the  morning's fishing. The summer is winding down and before you know it the chill will be in the air. 1/2 day fishing is a great way to spend quality time with your friends and family, so get everyone together, pack the cooler and climb aboard.
