After having a couple of great days striper fishing, we went out today to find no bird life, very little bait and only a couple of fish until the end of the day where we found an area of fish on top but it only lasted a short time. We ended up with a couple dozen keepers and throwbacks. The fish went down very quick and it was short lived. After that we never found another fish. It sounded like everyone from the Highlands to Barnegat had a real tough day. Our pool winner was a 29 lb striper.
We will be sailing daily for stripers starting this Friday, April 12, 2019 from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
