Fishing has and still is dominated by shorts.  We fished Coney Island the flats and the Coney Island channel and East of East Bank rip, 99% of the fish landed were shorts.  We than traveled and fished in-between shorts again, finished the day on the knoll and found a pair of keepers.   Sunday night we fished local and managed a half dozen keeps.    Todays trip was the 1/8th of an  inch shy trip, so there is some hope for August.    Folks we will continue to try, just remember to bring the heavy equipment because when we head east you will need it.
