Captain's Focus

We decided to take a gamble and fish about 30 miles from where we had our excellent trip last week and it could not have worked out better. It took us a few hours to find the tuna as we started inshore around the area known as the Sea Bass Rock Pile but this area was not holding any tuna.

Eventually we went out to the deep and found bait that the tuna were feeding on and it was game on. We ended up with eleven nice sized Yellowfin. Fortunately, we had only two undersized throwback Yellowfin for the whole day.

Thanks to Roche Supply Inc. from Honesdale, PA for chartering us. We look forward to seeing them again in two weeks for an overnight trip when we plan to target mainly Big Eye tuna but I am sure there will be some time to fish for other tuna, Mahi-Mahi and maybe even Tile Fish.
