Captain's Focus

Nice yellowfin and mahi

by Capt Ted White 15 September 2019
Had the Jim Yost party out for an overnighter this weekend. The ride out was a little slower than normal but not bad. Once at the spot, the mahi were not to cooperative so we trolled and it payed off with a nice 80lb class yellow fin. The night was ok, with a small swordfish, release a hammerhead and a couple mahi. Started this morning trolling and found a little life, skippies, short yellowfin, and another 90lb class yellow. Did a short stint on the pots and had some really nice ones, probably averaging 10-15 pounds, with Jim's beauty pushing 30.
