Sep 16 2013 9/16 Weekend Fishing Report Sat we had tough conditions again with the strong wind going against the tide most of the day. We were able to pick away in the morning and in afternoon it slowed down. Average i would say was 15 to 25 fish per person with some catching more. A 3.5lb trigger fish won the pool and most porgies were in the medium size range. Sat night we fished a few places and found a steady pick of porgies, spots and croakers. Average had 15 to 20 fish for the night. Pool winner was a nice size porgy. Sunday we had a our last fluke trip for this season and found the fishing very slow. There were a few nice fish like a pair of 6lbers that tied for the pool but it just was not enough for everyone onboard. Sunday night saw very good porgy fishing. Most of the nights we have been catching a mix bag. But tonight we tried 2 different spots out and it worked very well with nice size porgies in the medium to large size and everyone had a nice big bag of fillets to take home. From now on all trips will be Bottom fishing for Porgies, Spots, Croakers, Blowfish and Trigger fish and when Sea Bass season opens on Sept 27th we will be adding them into our catch. OPEN BOAT this week: DAYTRIPS- Wed, Fri and Sun at 7am to 3pm EVENING TRIPS- Wed & Fri 5pm to 10pm and Sat & Sun 4pm to 9pmShare Capt. Mike
