The Jersey Shore Beach N Boat Fishing Tournament celebrated its winners in style on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at River Rock Marina Bar and Restaurant in Brick. Eloy Otero from Atlantic City caught his first place whopping 57.13 pound Striper two weeks before the tournament ended from the bulkhead at Harrah's, weighing in at One Stop Bait & Tackle.  Who says boats have an advantage!  A special gift was bestowed upon eight year-old Keegan Rothman for reeling in a 23.4 pound Striped Bass just 5 days before the tourney ended. All told, 295 fish were weighed in over the 8-month season with Creekside Bait & Tackle in Waretown weighing 52 fish from almost every species.  Trailing them with 33 was Lacey Marine and Bobbies Boats in Barnegat Light with 22.  Looks like Barnegat was the hot spot for Beach N Boat anglers this year. Huge strides were made with over 8,000 anglers, 60 weigh stations and two new "mini" tournaments; The Wildwoods Beach N Boat Fishing Challenge and the DO-AC Beach N Boat Fishing Challenge.  Stay tuned to www.BeachNBoat.com for the latest information on the 2015 contest that will run from April 1 to Nov.30.
