Rain and wind are in the Monday forecast. Check with skippers before coming down. The Cock Robin and Golden Eagle have already cancelled. The latter reported only bluefish on Sunday while losing a few stripers. Gary Quon of Tady Lures is in from California, and he fished Sunday on the Brooklyn V from Sheepshead Bay. Tady jigs worked fine as that boat fished to the east, but only blues and short bass cooperated -- with just a couple of keeper bass on the boat.   John Bushell, at Betty & Nick's Tackle in Seaside Park said not a single bass or blue was entered in a tournament held there on Saturday, and even the Friday night bite was no good. He noted that unless we get a run of sand eels and a shot of migrating bass from the north this could be the worst fall fishery in memory.
