Bernard Dinardi of Brick passed away Sunday at just 66. Though he hadn't been active in offshore sportfishing during recent years, Dinardi and his brother, Drew of Lavallette, formed a very successful team with their Absolut-ly out of Brielle Yacht Club a couple of decades ago, winning the tuna division of the first Mid-Atlantic $500,000 Tournament out of Cape May with a blast of bigeye runa.  Though born in the Bronx, Dinardi lived in Somerset and North Brunswick before moving to homes in Brick and in Jupiter, Florida. He was president of the family solid waste disposal company before selling out to enjoy an early retirement.   Dinardi is survived by his  wife Nancy, children Michael (with wife Jennifer) of Hillsborough) and Elizabeth Disano (with husband Anthony) of North Brunswick, plus brother Drew -- and grandchildren Michael, Anthony and Danny. I had the privilege of fishing with the brothers during several Mid-Atlantic $500,000 Tournaments and was most impressed by their their harmonious relationship -- perfect courtesy and never a disagreement. During the 1995 Mid-Atlantic $500,000(distinguished by many big blue marlin being caught) I boated a 503-pound blue that only put Absolut-ly into third place before we were knocked off the board on last day. Yet, the Dinardis still won the Blue Marlin Points Trophy due to the addition of Drew's 250-pound-class release. That qualified them for the Tournament of Champions after the season -- which Absolut-ly also won.    The viewing will be from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., Somerset (732 545-0700).  Services will begin there at 9:15 AM Friday, followed by a 10 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Peace Church in North Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery in New Brunswick.
