Captain's Focus

November 5th, 2013

Over the weekend, we fished North and just outside of our inlet. We caught blues and saw quite a few stripers, however, they did not want to cooperate. It was tough fishing. Our pool winner on Saturday was James Wilson from Chatham, NJ and Sunday’s pool winner was Jose Cabreja from New Brunswick, NJ.

Monday, we did not sail due to the weather.

This morning, we jigged just outside of our inlet. We caught over a handful of keeper stripers and throwbacks, and had a couple of really good shots at them at one point. We made several moves throughout the day and had no lack of readings. Fishing was a little better today than it was over the weekend. Some days the fish bite at different times throughout the day. There is plenty of life all along the beach and no lack of readings. It’s only a matter of time before they start cooperating again.
