Captain's Focus

September 17th, 2013

Over the weekend and yesterday morning, we continued to fish to the North of our inlet. Fishing on Saturday was good to excellent, catching on both bait and jigs, with jigs having the advantage. The blues ranged anywhere from 10-17 lbs. Our pool winner was Walter Swierkocki from Wayne, NJ.

Sunday morning, fishing was a little slower and we picked better on bait. The blues were in the 8-17 lb class.

Monday morning, we had fair to good fishing. We used both bait and jigs, with bait having the advantage. Our pool winner was Rick Vescovie with a 17.5 lb blue. There are still plenty of big fish around. It is looking like we are going to have nice weather for the rest of the week so don’t waste anytime to come on down for some excellent angling!

Night fishing over the weekend was very slow. We read and saw plenty of fish, however, they would not cooperate. Right now, daytime fishing is much better.

Due to bad weather, none of the boats sailed today. We will resume our normal schedule tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. See you then!

*Please note our new fall schedule*

Sailing daily from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. & every Friday & Saturday night from 7:30 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.

With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it. No other boat comes close. Try us and you'll see why.
