Captain's Focus

June 4th, 2012

Saturday morning on the Tropical Adventure, the remnants of last night's NE winds made for a large heave out in the ocean. That made it difficult to hold bottom during the beginning of the trip. As the swell began to lessen, we caught some blues, a few short bass, as well as, some fluke. Boy Scout Five Rivers Troop 1 from Athens, PA enjoyed the morning out on the water. Our pool winner was Karl Dienes of Whiting, NJ with a 3.5 lb fluke.

Sunday Morning on the Tropical Adventure action started out a little slow due to a slight left over heave from the NE winds the night before. Our morning pool winner was Saul Moskowitz of Manalapan, NJ with a 3.2 lb fluke. On the afternoon trip, the FLUKE BITE WAS ON! We saw lots of action with fluke coming over the rail. We saw a lot of short fluke and nearly a dozen keeper fluke, as well as several keeper sea bass. Our afternoon pool winner was Brian Scheets of Newark, NJ with a 3 lb fluke.
