Thanksgiving Day we had good fishing with over 50 keeper stripers and blues mixed in. Friday and Saturday we had many shots of fish with some limiting out. Fishing would have been a lot better if we did not have to deal with the amount of small boat traffic that was running on top of us.
Today, Captain Lenny went to the North of our inlet on his own and found quite a few areas of bird life with stripers and blues feeding on the live bait. He was able to catch quite a few stripers, with some people limiting out, and quite a few throwbacks. Â A couple of customers even had their bonus fish and some nice blues were mixed in with the stripers. Overall, lots of action was had. It seems like there are still a lot of fish coming down from the north and it sure seems like with the water temperature still warmer than normal, and the amount of action still to be had, we can get a couple more weeks out of this. The fall weather could not get any better than this. What a beautiful day!Â
Our pool winner today was George Zimnes from Millstone, NJ with a 12.5 lb striper.Â
