Captain's Focus

November 21st, 2011

Captain Lenny reported fishing was good this weekend. There was a lot of boat traffic but we were still able to put a catch together with stripers and some blues. Yesterday we  were catching in the morning and it died out for awhile. The end  of the day fish started to come up on top along with tremendous readings with shots of stripers and blues. We had some throwbacks, but 90% of them were keepers.

Our pool winner Sunday was Tom Boylan from Passaic, NJ with a 12.5 lb striper.

Captain Lenny said we had excellent striper fishing again today! Over the weekend we caught them good but It was better today with less boat traffic. Even though it was not a favorable weather forecast, and with only a couple dozen people on-board, we had over 45 keeper stripers and numerous  throwbacks along with some blues. The best fishing we had was on drifts where we stopped on readings. The fish were paved tight along the bottom and we were able to stay on drifts for 30 minutes at a time where we picked away at stripers and blues with an occasional shot of 5-6 stripers on at a time. There is still plenty of bait and fish around.  Although Mario was not able to come today, George Auriemma's group from Dover, NJ all limited out.

Our pool winner was Lorenzo Geroso from East Windsor, NJ with a 20 lb 4 oz striper.
