Captain's Focus

November 2nd, 2011

Today, Captain Scotty Gold reported we fished 9 miles North of our inlet. We saw lots of bird life and fish splashing. We stopped on top of the fish and only caught a couple each time. It was a tough morning and we only picked about 25 blues and 1 keeper striper. We decided to make a move and drove a little here and a little there and we saw some bird action a couple miles East of our inlet. We poked our nose over to see what was going on and immediately we had blues and stripers on. We had 4 successful drifts and when it was all said and done we had 31 keeper stripers and about 120 blues. Several people had their limits and it turned out to be an excellent afternoon!

Our pool winner today was Sam Giacobbe from Lake Wallenpaupack, PA with a 17 lb 3 oz striper.
