Captain's Focus

September 15th, 2011

Last night we went back out east where we've been fishing for the past few nights. We anchored up and read plenty of blues but it didn't produce. We did end up with a few handfuls of fish for the night. It was a difficult night for the whole fleet. Hopefully the weather the next few days will cooperate and fishing will be better.

Today, we fished 15 miles east of Belmar picking away at blues and caught over a dozen albacore and it looks like within the next week or so we will be catching the albacore good with the blues. Atleast we hope so. We also caught a 70 lb thresher shark.

Our pool winner was Fred Rutz with a 13.2 lb blue.
