Captain's Focus

July 18th, 2011

We have had excellent blue fishing every night for the past few nights. The fish are no longer spawning and the bite is on! The fish were averaging 6-10 lbs up to 15 lbs. Limit catches were common around the boat. It doesn't get any better than this!

Today it started off slow. We looked in the same area we have been fishing for the past week but we were unable to find them. Ended up fishing another 7 miles further east and saw real good shots of fish at times but they would not stay with us. Were able to pick away and they would come and go. Caught on jigs and bait. Our pool winner was Jeff Little from Middletown, NY with a 12 lb 2 oz blue who was out fishing with his Father.
