I am one of the lucky ones. Only my boat was damaged in the storm. Nothing but best wishes for those who are enduring much worse.
'First Catch' was blocked up in the marina, but unfortunately so much water came onshore it washed off it's blocks and ended up down the street piled up with what I am told was 14 other boats.
While she looks a mess and there is certainly damage done, at this point I don't think any of it is life-threatening.
At this point I would say the North East fishing season is over. Regardless if your boat is damaged or not, it will take a loooong time for fishing to bounce back. And any boater better be hyper cautious with tons of debris to be floating around for the foreseeable future.
