It was a shame that last night's storms kept a lot of fishermen home today, both on the area boats that got out fishing and the private boats which were totally absent on the bay. We had a nice westerly breeze and outgoing tide all day which gave us great drifting conditions and easy fishing as well. After the last couple of days of having to work engines to put some fish in the coolers today we were able to make long drifts where we picked away at a nice mix of keepers and shorts most of the day and ended up with happy fishermen. Everyone went home with AT LEAST one keeper for dinner. Tommy Hollywood, Jr., Staten Island, NY, had his limit which included the 5 pound 7 ounce pool fish.
