Fishing this weekend consisted of a mix of nice porgies, lots of seabass that had to be thrown back and some short and keeper blackfish up to 5 pounds. We tried a different area today and were pleased to see a lot more keeper blackfish with everyone keeping their one legal tog to go along with their porgies. Bart Major, Howell, NJ, took today's pool with a 6 pound tog.
The weather for the rest of the week does not look good so unless something changes as the week goes along our next trip will be SATURDAY morning by 7:00 AM--OR EARLIER--for the opening day of the seabass season. As always we will have clams and green crabs onboard.
