Captain's Focus

09/22/14 The strong northwest wind severely hampered where we could fish today! We were able to get out to where we had some very nice fish yesterday first thing this morning for the change of tide. We were able to pick away at a mix of shorts and keepers on one long drift of over an hour before the current got way too fast and we had to leave the area. Ended up down our beach for the rest of the day bouncing around from spot to spot. We had some short action but only a few more keepers to finish the day. Sam Ingallinesi, Pompton Lakes, NJ, took the pool with a four pound fish. Tomorrow's weather looks the best of the next couple with light westerly winds in the forecast which should give us much better drifting conditions where we want to fish. Take advantage of it!! See you in the morning.
