8.5 pound pool winner!! No wind, nice drift and good fishing for the fellas today. Back to where we have been fishing lately and had plenty of action with shorts and nice sized keepers. The action held up for most of the day except when we lost the drift with the slack tide. Large gulps, spros and natural baits all put keepers in the coolers today. Most of the guys ended up with multiple keepers and Albert Galdi, Somerset, NJ, having four keepers. Don Jaeger, Morris Plains, NJ, had three keepers to 5 pounds 5 ounces. Carmine Rutledge, Newark, NJ, had several keepers up to 5 pounds 3 ounces. John Porada, Pompton Lakes, NJ, had three keepers including the 8 pound 5 ounce pool winner!! There are still lots of fish around so take advantage. See you in the morning.
