BIG FISH MONDAY!!!

We had our best fishing in a week in the same area we worked yesterday afternoon. There was no drift early in the day but the guys working the spros managed to put a few big fish in the boat along with some shorts. When we finally got the drift, the guys using both the natural baits as well as the spro/bucktails managed to put some NICE fish in the coolers. Fluke Master Dennis O'Brien, South Bound Brook, NJ, is one of the best fishermen around and had a VERY GOOD day limiting out early with big fish and taking the pool. His limit included fish of 8 pounds 3 ounces, 6 pounds 4 ounces, 4 pounds 11 ounces and a couple over 3 pounds as well! The first fish he hooked early this morning was AT LEAST as large as his pool fish but flipped us the fin when it spit the hook out within sight of the boat but beyond netting range. BELIEVE IT OR NOT!! Tough break but that is fishing!! Don Jaeger, Morris Plains, NJ, was happy with his three keepers which included a 6 pound fish. Great weather again tomorrow. See you in the morning.
