OCTOBER 5 UPDATE

It was great to be back out on the water after the last several days at the dock due to weather and lack of angler participation.

Today was less than favorable conditions, hey they were down right crummy with chilly temperatures, a brisk wind and a screaming tide, but it was bright and sunny. Our charter today was the New Providence Fire Department and they were a great group of "hearty" folks.  They did not want to stay in the Bay, so out to the ocean we went and for the most part they remained standing the whole trip. Even with the wind and the tide, we put together a decent catch of big porgies, a couple trigger fish and some beautiful sea bass that had to be returned, and let's not forget the action with the smooth dogs. It was a good trip and they were great guys, but that is what you expect from FD. The crew and I hope you guys come back again as we enjoyed having you aboard.

We will continue to fish for the bottom species, which are fun to catch and good eating, until the striped bass arrive, so come on down and join us on our day's adventure. Sailing every day at 7:30 am returning around 2:30 pm.
