Captain's Focus

August 2, 2013

Got out on Thursday am trip with a lite "crowd" and showers most of the morning. Fishing stunk with only a couple of keepers. Heavier rains and lack of angler participation gave me a much needed afternoon off.

What a difference a day makes---blue skies, plenty of sunshine and dry warm temperatures, add to the mix good fluking and you have a great day. The usual short action with plenty of keepers in the mix. It was nice to see so many families and small groups out enjoying each other and the day, hope you all had as much fun as Jake and Jeremy. The catch of the day goes to Ted Sabo on the afternoon trip, who boated his limit and had the pool winner with a better than 4 lb flattie. Once again, a great group of anglers aboard making for a good day for me and the crew.

Good weather for the weekend so get down early to be sure to get your spot. Jake, Jeremy and I will be looking for you at the dock in the morning. Fish with the most experienced captain and the  absolute best crew on the boat with the most "individual fishing space" and family-friendly atmosphere. EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE ABOARD THE DOROTHY B.
