Captain's Focus

Once again the AM started out with a very good bite, shorts and some very nice keepers coming aboard....Bite slowed as the drift got to 2 knots.
Waited a long time for the change today and only picked at the fish once the current got moving.
Still had some beauties for the day though including Sarah DeGraaf's Pool fish at 8.2 pounds! She also had a very nice 6.6 pounder in the box. Sarah has fished just about every week this summer looking for that Big one that I told her would surly come sooner or later for all her hard work. Congrads Girl!

Several other fish from 3 to 5 pounds and a whole lot of short action while it lasted. "Cookie" an Old Palace Captain from back in the day had three nice keepers along with Bill Krugg. Capt. Ron Sr. had 4. Two young Men fishing the Port side landed six beauties also. Nice day on the water.

Bait worked best as all my Bucktailers had a tough time today.

Open Boat all weekend and Next week.
Capt. Ron
