05/22/2014 Joe Dittus returned for the second time this month with his family charter. We got an early start and sailed into a foggy ocean with a steady rain. The first 2 drops did not produce much but after a several mile move we were into a good Seabass bite. Things were going well until the rain increased and we had an hour of thunder and lightning The screaming south current did not help much and slowly
shut down the Seabass bite. Joe and his crew toughed it out picking away and put together a nice catch of 80 quality Seabass, released several Ling and only had to put up with 6 Dogfish. This is a tough crew that always comes to fish hard. Openings are still available for the Memorial Day weekend Open Boat Seabass & Striper trips. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.
