05/17/2013 We had the Vincent Zola charter on board today for what turned out to be our worst day of the season. We got out at 6AM and had no problem filling the Livewell with Bunker. We set up drifts on several Bunker schools between Long Branch and the Rocks without any success. Finally we lost a bait to a "Alligator" Blue and that was the high point of the morning. Heard that a few Bass were caught south of our Inlet so we made the move but it was not going to be our day. We got a great effort from Vincent and his crew but today the Bass won. Once their Spawn is over the Bass will be back and fishing will improve. Seabass season opens on May 19th. Spots are still available for our Open Boat Seabass trips on June 3, 4 & 5. E-mail or call at 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.
