05/12/2013 Capt. Paul had the Joe Dittus charter on board today. We broke the Inlet at 5AM and headed north. Working the Rocks area for an hour with Trolling gear proved to be a waste of time. Paul decided to run north and do some Clamming. It was the right move as once on anchor we had one of the best bites of the year develop. The Bass bit steady for over 2 hours. The guy's had their hands full as at times we had 4 and 5 Bass on. When the bite finally slowed we had landed over 30 Keeper size Bass up to 38" along with 9 Shorts. All were released except for our legal limit of 10 Bass. I will be running Open Boat Seabass trips on June 3, 4 & 5. If interested in catching the Jersey Shores best eating fish give me a call at 732-323-8700 to sign on.
