Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing September 22

We have been making both morning and afternoon trips everyday from the Atlantic Highlands marina. We fished the channels in the bay due to the rough ocean the past few days. The fishing was not good over the weekend but we were able to catch some nice size keepers. Today was the first day the ocean was not rough. We went on the ocean side of Sandy Hook and we picked away at some shorts and a few keepers. The morning trip was better and we had fluke up to 7 1/2 lbs. On the afternoon trip the drifting conditions were not as good as the morning but we still picked at the fish. The fishing was not great but it was better than the weekend. Hopefully the ocean will stay calm and we can fish the channels or down the beach. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30am and 1:30 to 6pm). The last day for fluke is Saturday September 27.  Looking forward to seeing everyone.
