We have been making both morning and afternoon trips everyday from the Atlantic Highlands marina. Yesterday the northerly wind made for tough drifting conditions. Today the wind was not as strong and we were able to fish the Sandy Hook channel area. The drift was still fast but with some extra weight everyone was able to catch fish. Most of the fluke were shorts but there was plenty of action. The action on the afternoon trip was the same but we ended up with more keepers. We had no limits but some people caught Two or three keepers. Sometimes the drift can be fast so you need to put on heavy weights. It is a good idea to bring a heavy and light rod so you are ready for the different conditions. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.
