Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 22

We have been making both morning and afternoon trips everyday from the Atlantic Highlands marina. The fishing has been pretty tough the past few days. Today we seen an improvement. The morning started out with a lot of shorts but only one keeper. Moved to a different area and caught a few more shorts and a few keepers. We lost the drifting conditions and that ended the morning bite. The afternoon trip was a lot better. The drifting conditions were not the best but we were able to catch. The short action was the best we have had in awhile with everyone catching fish. Not everyone caught keepers but we ended up with one of our better catches of keepers for the boat. The fishing was not great but it nice to see everyone catching fish. We are still finding the best fishing in Sandy Hook and Raritan bays where the water is calm. There have been some real nice size fluke caught so take a look at the new pictures in the gallery. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.
