Reports of small bass in the surf are coming in from all points. This can be an all or nothing proposition, as I found out yesterday afternoon when I did nothing in Bay Head though I was only a half-mile from a hot bite. It happened in that spot again this morning, but not in the afternoon when I fished there. Yet I did manage to pick three bass on a 6-inch Tsunami Swim Eel and a Gulp Sand Eel teaser.  You just have to keep at it. Hopefully, tomorrow will be the day.
