As nice as the weather was on Sunday, it's supposed to get much warmer -- and with mostly moderate southwest winds. The Ocean Explorer from Belmar filed a report on Faceboook of a beautiful day at sea on 5/5 (Saturday), though the Jamaica from Brielle cancelled their 1 a.m. trip that day due to rough seas. Some keeper cod and pollock plus scattered ling were caught, and there was good life on the bottom with bergalls, congers and dogfish. The Ocean Explorer plans to fish for cod every day.
