The Somerset Saltwater Expo opened today at the Garden State Exhibit Center, and continues through Sunday. I'll be there Saturday to do my annual striped bass seminar at 11:30. Just as they did the last two years, Tady Lures will provide each of the first 100 attendees with one of their valuable metal jigs. I'll also have some copies of my last book, The Complete Book of Surf Fishing.

Friday was delightful, but there's a big change coming. The Ocean Explorer from Belmar reported a few cod and pollock were caught from among many bergalls. They hope to get out Saturday, which appears to be fishable until the northeast winds kick in that night. Sunday and Monday don't look good -- with snow or rain and gusty NE winds.
