Captain's Focus

While we're going from small craft to gale warnings, there's better news in the following e-mail from former Belmar pro Capt. Charlie Fornabio -- who charters out of Sebastian, Fl. : "The wind relented on Sunday and the fishing picked up considerably. The sheepshead, grouper and snapper bite was very good along the channel edges. We caught a few reds around the docks to the north and a few snook along the mangroves. The inlet was alive with blues and Spanish mackerel on incoming tide and we also caught a couple of big mangrove snappers and pompano. In the ocean along the inshore reefs we caught some 5-6-lb Spanish on jigs and there were large schools of jacks daisy chaining on the surface that hit just about anything you threw at them.  Blacktip sharks seem to be everywhere shadowing the schools of threadfin herring (greenies). Going to be a busy couple of weeks ahead with Easter and spring breaks. I hope we get a chance to catch and catch up. Keep casting. Charlie 772 360 7647   5 Attached Images (reduce for viewing)
