Made both morning and afternoon trips today. As posted the past few days the fishing has not been to good so on the morning trip we tried a different area. On the afternoon trip we went back into Raritan Bay where we hoped for better fishing. On the first drop we caught a couple shorts and a few keepers.
We've Jigged, Bait fished with Fresh Bunker Clams, traveled many miles over the past week looking for the bite, without much reward. Tomorrow we will search a couple new area's as there is no lack of Bait (bunker) to fish in.
Once settled up on the anchor, we had some life right away landing 3 shorts and 2 keepers. Took a ride to where we have been fishing and had immediate action, landing another 10 keepers to 21#.
It was better then yesterday but still not good. We picked at the shorts till the tide went slack and we never got the current again . At least we did get a keeper.
