Blues, Bonito, Fluke by Capt Ted White 17 August 2014 The last week or so we have been pretty busy, with a mix of fluking trips and blues bonito. We went for the blues and bonito and they did very well, mostly on the nice bonito.
ay Jim Mershatt had his family and friends from West Virginia out for a day of excellent bonito and blue fishing. The weather started out poorly with rain showers most of the morning, but that actually kept the seas down a bit and made the bonito bite like crazy !
by Capt Ted White 25 July 2014 Today, Leon-New Frontier Builders, Denver,Pa. had his crew down for a very good day of fishing for blues and bonito. Looks like these fish may be hanging around a bit so if blues and bonito are what you are looking for, now would be the time.
Managed some keeper fluke, a few seabass and ling. We will be tuna fishing inshore at the end of the week, there have been good reports, hope we will be reporting good news as well.
The half day trips we have been catching some nice 1-3lb blues jigging at the inlet then moving out to try for fluke and seabass. The Bob Diane Nelms family group had a nice day, putting together a good catch of seabass, ling and a couple winter flounder.
report by Capt Ted White 4 July 2014 The past week we have been fishing for fluke, seabass, and small blues. The fluke have not been cooperating that well, the south wind has dropped the water temp along the beach about 10 degrees.
Fishing Report by Capt Ted White 22 June 2014 Well, the blues continue to elude us so we have been hitting the wrecks and reefs for seabass and ling. We still have a few openings for the tile trip on July 6, we will have our trolling gear with us as the tuna fishing has been rather good offshore.
There were blues caught today by one of the boats from our inlet, nice big fish, lets hope they stick around. 00, the last trip was very good, we will be putting in a good 7-8 hours of fishing time.
Tile fish report by Capt Ted White 19 May 2014 Sundays tilefish trip went very good, both with the fishing and the weather. We did try a few spots first thing in the morning for some bigger fish but the current and light wind were together and the drift was a little on the high side, so we opted to try a couple different spots and had very steady fishing for the rest of the day.
