The Canyon Runner Seminar is coming up Saturday in Atlantic City, and Adam La Rosa is offering free tickets to veterans who have been wounded in action. Furthermore, a couple of those vets will be selected at both the Atlantic City and N. Y. seminars to receive a free overnight canyon trip on a Canyon Runner boat next season.

Capt. They had some great sailfishing with eight dorados (dolphin) and 10 sail releases one day, before opting for bottom fishing the following day -- when 65 groupers from small fritos (2-6-pounders) were taken plus some larger ones in the teens -- and a bunch of the ocean whitefish that look like the small tilefish.

The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) is holding a public hearing at 7 30 p. m. Monday, Jan. 13 on Draft Amendment XXV to the Management Plan for Summer Flounder and Black Sea Bass. The meeting is, as usual, in the Ocean County Administrative Building at 101 Hooper Ave. in Toms River -- Room 119, The comment period runs through Jan. 24.
