Plenty of BIG BLUES today along with a few STRIPERS - saw plenty of bird life and bait and plenty of fish readings but the STRIPERS were a little hard to catch. We were able to pick at the BLUES in the afternoon.
We were fishing today but the STRIPER fishing was a little tough - the ocean was still a little cranky from the wind we had over the weekend and things we only starting to settle down this afternoon. The good news is the bait including large schools of bunker are still around and I think once things settle down which should start tomorrow the STRIPERS will turn on to again.
We picked some BIG BLUES today and we spent a lot of time trying to get the STRIPERS to bite. Saw plenty of fish readings and bunkers all over the place but STRIPER fishing today was slow.
A decent day of STRIPER fishing - we read plenty of fish all day but you really had to work at it to catch them. The fish were between 15 35lbs and all the fish we caught on Hammer jigs and Croc's.
It was excellent STRIPER fishing today - almost everyone on board had their limit plus bonus fish ( several people were in catch and release mode after the first drift). With the STRIPERS making an excellent first apperance we will be STRIPER fishing.
It was decent day of BLUEFISHING today with fish from 6 to 15lbs. You had to work for your fish today and if you turned the handled all day you ended up with plenty of fish.
We were out today with a light crowd and the conditions looked right to try for some STRIPERS. There was plenty of bird life, bait good Striper readings splashing fish but the BASS proved very hard to catch.
