Captain Scotty started up the beach and found some life and caught blues on jigs right away. The action lasted for about an hour and the life was spread out from the wind so we made a few more stops and picked a few more blues on jigs before we went out to the east where we chummed and fished with bait.
October 13th, 2012 Saturday morning, Captain Lenny fished north of our inlet. The blues ranged from 10-16 lbs and we ended up with a nice striped bass that won the pool at 21 lbs!
Fishing lasted until the stiff wind came up around 12 30 p. m. then it slowed to a pick until we blew the horn to go home at 2 10 p. m. All fish were caught on jigs. Sailing daily from 7 30 a. m. - 2 30 p. m. and every Friday Saturday night from 7 30 p. m. - 2 30 a. m. Back to Fishing Reports
Read plenty of fish anywhere from 20 down to the bottom. We were able to jig blues from 5 lbs up to 18 lbs and we also jigged a nice 30 striper Looks like plenty of jigging fish around and some striped bass are starting to show up Our pool winner was an 18 lb blue.
It was another fine day of angling on board the Miss Belmar Princess today We continued to catch fish east of our inlet with jumbo blues ranging from 8 16 lbs with some albies mixed in.
