Today, Captain Scotty started off where we were yesterday where we had excellent fishing and there were very few readings and no sand eels to be found. We found real good readings and lots of bait, but with the SE wind, the fish would'nt cooperate.
June 9th, 2012 This Morning on the Tropical Adventure, the action started out a little slow with us catching 2 nice size keepers on the first drift. As the day progressed, the action improved with a lot of sea bass action producing several large keepers, as well as, numerous 17 fluke.
We would get shots of 4-6 on at a time, the fish would disappear for 5 minutes and then have 4-6 on again. The fish were very mixed in size from 3-14 lbs.
June 6th, 2012 Wednesday night we headed out with a small crowd and we were rewarded with an excellent night of blue fishing. We started the night with 2-4 on building to 6-8 fish on at a time.
June 4th, 2012 Saturday morning on the Tropical Adventure, the remnants of last night's NE winds made for a large heave out in the ocean. Sunday Morning on the Tropical Adventure action started out a little slow due to a slight left over heave from the NE winds the night before.
Overall, it was a good day of fishing aboard the Miss Belmar. Miss Belmar is sailing daily from 7 30 a. m. - 3 00 p. m. nightly from 7 30 p. m. - 2 30 a. m.
We held 2-5 fish on for a while and around 10 30 p. m. the fishing died off so we made a move and restarted the drift. Out pool winner was William Cassella with a 15lb blue.
