Today, we had fair fishing in the morning. By late morning, fishing backed off so we took a ride north where we picked with shots with blues up to 10 lbs.
We had some decent fishing on a handful of drifts where we picked away at 2-4 lb fish in shallow water. We saw the blues on top at times, though it was very hard to catch them
We will resume our normal schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, May 16th, at 7 30 a. m. for blues and stripers. Today, we didn’t sail due to Coast Guard Inspection.
Made a 2 ½ hour drift tight on the beach with fish ranging from 2-10 lbs. Plain 27’s and tailed 47’s all worked great.
We started off north and found plenty of bunker with some fish in them at times but we didn’t land any. We finished the day with a handful of drifts where we were able to pick away at the blues up to 10 lbs.
We caught fish up until 1 00 p. m. when we lost the out going tide. Action was best on ava 27 & 47’s with the blues ranging mostly in the 4-6 lb range with some up to 10-12 lbs.
