Found a mix of shorts and nice keepers everywhere that we stopped but not the large volume of action we have experienced the past few days. The guys worked hard and still managed to put some nice fish in the coolers for the day.
When we got some movement the guys and gals had good fishing for a mix of keepers and shorts for the rest of the day. Catches ranged up to four keepers.
It is that time of the season to bring a second heavier rod along that can handle up to 10 ounces should the need arise!!!Weather looks great for the next few days so take advantage of it.
Spro gulps rigs accounted for most of the larger fish today. Tom Hollywood Jr., Staten Island, NY, just beat out Dennis O'Brien, South Bound Brook, NJ, for the pool with a fish around 5 pounds.
A nice westerly breeze all day felt great and kept everyone cool despite what you may have experienced on land!!Good drifting conditions made for nice fishing today with plenty of action and a nice mix of keepers as well.
