12 22 15 Except for a little rain the second half of the trip it was a nice day to be on the blackfish grounds. A couple of first timers took a while to learn the bite but several of our blackfish regulars ended up with their limits up to 7 pounds.
The guys had a good mix of keeper and short action for the second half of the day with catches ranging up to limits. Tom Hollywood, Staten Island, NY, had a limit and just missed tying Bill Higginson, Flemington, NJ, for the pool!
It was a very scratchy bite and the guys had to work all day for their fish. Jack Tabor, Paramus, NJ, ended up with four nice fish which included yet another pool.
Fished several shallow areas where we have been catching recently but only a few fish. Went offshore with the rest of the fleet to find very little life on a few of our favorite spots to finish the day.
12 12 15 After a very tough day yesterday with only a handful of fish everywhere we stopped, we were happy with the tog rebound that we found today. The guys worked hard all day with good anchoring conditions and steady fishing.
