No boats have sailed the past few days due to the winds. The forecast looks much better for tomorrow FRIDAY and SATURDAY so come on down as we will be looking to go fishing Keep in mind that we WILL NOT be sailing on Easter Sunday
No boats have sailed the past few days due to the weather and tomorrow Thursday does not look much better. WE WILL BE SAILING FRIDAY AND SATURDAY so come on down.
The fishing was slow for us and all of the other boats although John The Whale , Newark, NJ, caught a very nice 18 pound fish for our first fish of the season which held on to take the pool. The bay water temperature is up to 50 degrees which is a five degree jump this week and should turn the bass bite on at any time.
The bay waters are now in the mid 40's and the first striped bass are being caught in the shallow waters. We will begin SAILING 7 AM DAILY FOR STRIPED BASS STARTING THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 12
The guys had a nice mix of keepers and shorts with several having their limits and everyone going home with at least a couple of nice fish for dinner. Mike Stefaniewicz, Keansburg, NJ, had his limit which included the pool fish.
We decided to make today our last trip of the season with the nasty weather coming in the next few days. I hope to be posting some of our third annual series of diving pictures within the next week.
Weather permitting TUESDAY will be our last trip of the season. We already have a bunch of the guys from this weekend coming down again so join them and get some fresh filets for New Years Day
Made a couple of drops in the area we have been fishing and had plenty of action most of the day on each spot. For whatever reason the stern of the boat had the best of the fishing on each drop with the bow just picking at some fish.
