We had 3 fish this season that were over 10 pounds, but not in our seasonal pool. Till then, Capt. Dan will be fishing Monday-Saturday nights fishing for Bass as it seems he can produce some local fish on those trips.
Jim, from Staten Island started it off with the first fish of the day at 6 pounds and the lead for the pool. 5 Minutes later a 6 1 2 then the big one of the day at 8 pounds caught by Jose Mocreia, Old Bridge, N. J. Brett fishing in the bow had 2 fish both over 5 pounds and Richie fishing in the stern had a beautiful 7 pounder.
The good fishing continues as today we had several guys with 4 keepers in the box, all quality fish. Tom the Vet was back today to defend his top spot in the Big pool, he landed a very nice 5 pound fish.
John froelich, Capt. Ron Sr. had their limits followed by Jim and a couple others with 4 keepers. Today he was rewarded with a New Big Pool Leading fish at Nine Pounds Four Ounces, just under 30 inches long!
PS I tied the boat up Tuesday and Wednesday knowing that I wouldn't be able to fish the ocean. So , for my friend who was the super expert today on were we should have gone and what we should have done and how next time he will spend 140 to fish on an Open Boat.
Fish are on the Move so I'm sure were gonna be doing some searching!Capt. Dan Starts Striped Bass fishing Tonight, 6 30pm till 11 30pm, Monday-Saturday.
Had some nice fish on the first drift, mostly keepers. 8 nice keepers and short action on the first drop let me know that we found a nice line of fish to work.
Up comes a beautiful 31 inch, 10 pound 4 ounce Pool winner, Moe's personal best along with the 3 keepers and a nice Sea Bass in the cooler. Unfortunately, Moe wasn't in the BIG POOL so Dan still has the lead at 9 pounds.
